Industrial & Hardware Packaging
Sharp, heavy, oily — the hard cases
Fasteners, castings, gears and machined components are the worst thing you can put in a polybag: heavy, angular and often oily. A bag specified for garments will be through at the corner before it leaves the stores.
This is where LLDPE earns its price. Its puncture and tear resistance is meaningfully better than LDPE at the same thickness, which means a thinner, cheaper bag can outperform the thicker one you are currently buying.

What actually matters here
The four things stores and dispatch managers ask about
Puncture resistance
LLDPE resists point loads from sharp edges far better than LDPE — the single most common industrial failure mode.
Load-rated thickness
Specified from actual component weight, not from what was on the shelf. Our thickness advisor shows the working.
Oil and coolant
Polyethylene is unaffected by machine oils and cutting fluid, so bagged components do not degrade the packaging.
Kit identification
Colour-coded bags for kitting and line-side supply, so the wrong part is visible before it is fitted.
Where we would start
A specification for industrial & hardware
Send us the heaviest and sharpest component you bag. We will specify for that, and everything lighter is covered.
| Product | Thickness | Why | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zip lock bags | 60 – 100 micron | Fastener and spares kitting, reclosable for partial issue. | Specify → |
| Gusset bags | 75 – 150 micron | Bulk components and carton liners. | Specify → |
| LD / HD custom sizes | 50 – 200 micron | Heavy or awkward components sized individually. | Specify → |
